Belotti waiting until Tuesday

Andrea Belotti wants to join Roma, that much is clear. But he can only do so once Eldor Shomurodov has left the club, even if that is on loan.
Shomurodov remains a target for Bologna, so Belotti has been holding out for progress on that front, rejecting other proposals in the meantime. But with the season starting this weekend, he does not want to waste much more time.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, Roma still have Belotti’s yes. However, he is going to give them until Tuesday to be able to accommodate him before he considers other offers.
The likes of Galatasaray have also been showing an interest in the striker.
Agent of Tanganga talking to Roma

Roma need one more centre-back, but could Chris Smalling soon be joined by another Englishman?
Links with Japhet Tanganga, the Tottenham academy product, are continuing. According to La Repubblica, his agent has again held talks with Roma in recent days.
At the age of 23, Tanganga is open to leaving English football to develop, so could join Roma on loan with a view to a permanent transfer if they select him over Dan-Axel Zagadou or Eric Bailly on their shortlist.
Official: Carles Perez completes departure

And now it is official – Carles Perez has left Roma to sign for Celta Vigo on loan with an option to buy.
Official: Villar sent to Sampdoria

After completing his medical earlier, Gonzalo Villar is now a Sampdoria player. He has left Roma on loan again in the process.
Celta Vigo confirm Carles Perez agreement

Gonzalo Villar is not the only Spanish player who joined Roma in January 2020 who is about to leave. Winger Carles Perez is also set to depart.
A long-term target for Celta Vigo, Perez is now the subject of an agreement in principle between the two clubs – as confirmed by Celta themselves.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Perez will fly for his medical with the La Liga outfit tomorrow.
Villar set for Sampdoria medical

Roma are about to offload Gonzalo Villar to Sampdoria. In fact, Tuttosport say the midfielder will undergo his medical with his next club today.
Zagadou says yes but Mourinho favours Bailly

Next on the agenda for Roma is to find a new centre-back. Two of the main contenders to join are free agent Dan-Axel Zagadou and Manchester United outcast Eric Bailly.
According to Il Romanista, Zagadou has said yes to joining Roma. However, manager Jose Mourinho would rather the club sign Bailly.
Roma are not willing to pay the €3m loan fee being requested by Man Utd, though. They could seek a discount in order to bring in the Ivorian, who was not called up by the Red Devils for their first game of the season.
