Jose Mourinho has been tipped to bring some Tottenham players with him to Rome, and it is perhaps surprising it has taken this long for them to be linked with Hugo Lloris.

The goalkeeper is out of contract in 2022 so could be available for a cut-price fee, and with Roma needing a new keeper, it seems an obvious link made by Il Messaggero.

Whether they can prise him away from Spurs remains to be seen, but he would be an interesting – if short-term – option in goal.

Roma were hoping to raise funds by selling Cengiz Under this summer, but his loan spell at Leicester did not show enough for the Foxes to make the move permanent.

Hence, Roma will have to find another suitor for the Turk and that might be Milan. His agent met with the club recently and now they are willing to make a bid of €8m, according to Leggo.

Il Tempo back up Milan’s interest but suggest they only want to take him on loan.

One of the most promising attackers outside Europe’s top five leagues, RB Salzburg’s Patson Daka is now attracting interest from Roma.

According to Il Messaggero, he could be an alternative to main striker target Andrea Belotti, since Torino’s demands are yet to be met.

Daka would cost around €20m, but at 22 years old would be a long-term investment and can cover all across the attack.

Emerson Palmieri has struggled to nail down a regular place for Chelsea since joining them from Roma and the left-back is now keen to return to Italy.

According to La Roma 24, one of the clubs he has been offered to is Roma. Leonardo Spinazzola is currently first-choice left-back, with only young Riccardo Calafiori as backup.

It is not yet clear if Roma will try to re-sign Emerson, though, as Chelsea still have a high asking price. Juventus, Inter, Milan and Napoli are all also linked.

Roma need to resolve the future of Alessandro Florenzi after his return from loan and find a new goalkeeper in this summer’s transfer market.

Tuttosport have covered both bases with a report suggesting Florenzi could head to Juventus in a swap that would see Wojciech Szczesny come the other way.

Szczesny could leave Juventus if they sign Gianluigi Donnarumma – who has also been linked with Roma – and a return to Roma could be an option, even if it would be somewhat controversial.

There have been very few English players in Roma’s history, but that list would grow by one if they signed Max Aarons.

Inter are also keen on the youngster as a potential replacement for Achraf Hakimi.
