Roma Women captain Elisa Bartoli has signed a new contract with her hometown club, keeping her in the capital until 2023.
Elisa Bartoli has signed a new contract with Roma Women to keep her at the club until 2023.
Captain of the club since their formation in 2018, Bartoli has made more starts for the Giallorosse than any other player.
To date, the full-back has appeared 58 times in all competitions, scoring 10 goals. This season, she has two goals from 18 appearances.
One of the team’s most popular players thanks to her commitment, quality and Roman heritage, Bartoli has now been rewarded with a new deal that guarantees the rest of her prime years will be spent at Stadio Tre Fontane.
“As a Roman and Romanista, it is an honour and a privilege to continue to represent this club and my city,” Bartoli told the club website.
“As Giotto said, ‘Rome is the city of echoes, the city of illusions, and the city of yearning’ – and continue to yearn for more great wins and performances for this club.
“I want to thank the club for giving me the chance to do that. Playing for Roma is a dream for me.”
It caps off a memorable day for Bartoli, who has also been named in the Serie A team of the season for last year alongside fellow Roma and Italy player Manuela Giugliano.
