Roma will face Ajax in the Europa League quarter-finals, and could play Manchester United if they reach the semi-finals.
Roma have reached the last eight of the competition for the first time since it became the Europa League after beating Shakhtar Donetsk over two legs.
A 2-1 win in Ukraine on Thursday sealed a 5-1 aggregate win one week after a 3-0 triumph at home.
The draw for the next two rounds took place the day after, pairing Roma against Ajax in the quarter-finals.
They will be just the third and fourth games ever played between the two clubs, with Roma failing to win either of the two previous encounters (one loss, one draw).
Should they progress to the semi-finals, they would play the winner of the game between Manchester United and Granada.
Hence, that could mean a return to Old Trafford for Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Another of Mkhitaryan’s former clubs could await in the final, with Arsenal among the favourites from the other side of the draw.
It will be a case of one game at a time for Roma, though, with full focus on Ajax.
The first leg, away, will take place on April 8th. Roma will then welcome the Dutch side to Stadio Olimpico seven days later.
