Roma are on the road for the first time in the new Serie A season on Saturday as they travel to face Hellas Verona.
After starting the season with a draw at home to Salernitana, Roma are heading north in search of their first win of the campaign.
Buoyed by the returns of Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini, even if Jose Mourinho is still missing from the touchline, Roma will be looking for an away win at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi, just like they managed last year after coming from behind. In fact, after doing the double over Verona in 2022-23, the target will be three points.
In terms of team news, other than the factors mentioned above, Renato Sanches is skipping the game due to a minor injury, while Mourinho – who confirmed he will set up with a back three – has been tipped to change both his wing-backs, with Nicola Zalewski and Rick Karsdorp coming into the starting selection.
Whereas Roma are aiming to go one better than their result last week, the hosts go into the game on the back of a 1-0 win over Empoli in their league opener, which followed progress in the Coppa Italia at Ascoli’s expense.
Saturday’s fixture kicks off at 7:45pm UK time and will be available to watch live on TNT Sports 3.
