Tecla Pettenuzzo posts farewell message to Roma Women

Tecla Pettenuzzo has bid farewell to Roma Women after three seasons with the club.

The former Sassuolo centre-back had been with Roma since 2019, making 37 starts among 47 appearances in all competitions.

Losing her place in the team somewhat after the arrival of Elena Linari in January 2021, she then only made seven starts in the 2021-22 Serie A Femminile.

Further competition has arrived in recent months, with Beata Kollmats joining mid-season and Carina Wenninger becoming the first summer arrival after the end of the season.

Hence, the 22-year-old Pettenuzzo will be representing a different club next term.

She confirmed her departure via a message on her social media channels.

Within it, she said: “I have felt privileged in these last three years. I have tried to gather as much as possible from all my teammates, small and large.

“How strong they are. And what people.

“Thanks for being so patient with me!

“At the end of these three years I feel more mature and more ready, personally and professionally speaking. I certainly still have so much to learn and I am sure, Roma, you still had so much to give me and me to give you.

“But now the time has come to go. A great new experience awaits me.

“Who knows, maybe one day we will meet again.”
