Roma have completed the signing of Roger Ibanez on loan with an obligation to buy from Atalanta.
The 21-year-old defender has signed a contract until 2024, with Roma having to pay Atalanta €8m next summer for the permanent transfer, once certain conditions are met.
Ibanez, who is from Brazil, will wear the number 41 shirt.
Atalanta are also entitled to €2m in bonuses, 10% of the sell-on fee before 2024, 10% of the profit of the sell-on fee after 2024, and a €1m bonus in 2024.
Ibanez told asroma.com: “I’m really happy to be here.
“Roma has everything I want in a club – it’s a huge side. I am certain that I will be happy here.”
Ibanez’s arrival likely means Juan Jesus will be on his way out, with his fellow Brazilian most closely linked with Fiorentina.
