Robinio Vaz has joined Hull City on loan from Roma just half a year after joining from Marseille.
Vaz struggled to win over Gian Piero Gasperini after his January move, with the coach preferring someone more ready than the teenager.
With how fellow striker signing Donyell Malen has performed since, it became harder for Vaz to force his way into the plans. The subsequent summer signing of Santiago Castro from Bologna has pushed him further down the pecking order.
Vaz was only able to score once from 12 Serie A appearances in his first half-season with Roma.
Now, he is ending up in East Yorkshire after recent Premier League newcomers Hull City agreed to take him on loan with an option to buy.
Hull are paying €2m for the loan and will have an option to buy him for €30m, which would give Roma a profit.
Despite the two clubs forming an unofficial partnership a couple of years ago, which has since fizzled away, Vaz becomes the first ever player to move directly between Roma and Hull (who also signed ex-Giallorossi loanee Lucas Gourna-Douath from Red Bull Salzburg earlier this summer).
