Milica Mijatovic becomes latest Roma Women signing

Roma Women have continued their recent busy recruitment drive by adding Milica Mijatovic to their squad.

A midfielder who can also play in attack, Mijatovic has joined the club on a contract until the end of the season. The 30-year-old will wear the number eight shirt.

The first ever Serbian player to represent Roma Women, Mijatovic has been capped 35 times by her national team. She has played club football in countries like Australia, Cyprus and – most recently – Sweden, where she has joined from BK Hacken.

Mijatovic told the club website: “I am proud and happy to have signed for AS Roma, as it is a great club with a bright future.

“I cannot wait to get started and to help the team in its upcoming matches.”

Head of Women’s Football, Betty Bavagnoli added: “We are delighted to be able to add Milica to our team because, beyond having strong leadership qualities, she is a central midfielder with a lot of experience, technical ability and can read the game well.

“We have been keeping tabs on her for a while now and we are certain that she will be able to help us a lot over the second half of this season.”
