Roma have confirmed the exit of midfielder Ebrima Darboe on loan to LASK for the 2023-24 season.
Darboe rose to prominence in the latter stages of the 2020-21 season after graduating the Roma academy. Paulo Fonseca handed him his first six senior appearances, before Jose Mourinho used him five times the following campaign.
A serious injury in the summer of 2022 denied Darboe the chance to get any gametime in the season just gone, though, putting his future with the club at risk.
Now, it has been confirmed that the Gambia international will be spending the 2023-24 campaign in Austria with LASK, who will be the first club other than Roma to use him at senior level.
The 22-year-old remains under contract back in Rome until 2026.
