For most of Roma Women’s history, one name has stood out as the team’s record scorer – but that is currently changing.
Since the women’s section of the club was established in 2018, more than 50 players have scored at least once for the side, but for most of that time, there has been a runaway leader as their main goal-getter.
With two players set to topple that order over the course of the 2024-25 season, though, follow along with the timeline below to see how the identity of Roma Women’s record scorer changes in time.

Serturini and Piemonte set the pace (1)
The first goalscorer in Roma Women’s history was Annamaria Serturini, scoring against Sassuolo in their first ever Serie A Femminile match. Later in that same game, Martina Piemonte also scored for the Giallorosse.

Ciccotti and Bonfantini match Serturini and Piemonte (1)
Roma failed to score in their next two games, but Claudia Ciccotti and Agnese Bonfantini became the next players to open their accounts in October 2018, before either Serturini or Piemonte had been able to pull away with a second goal.

Bartoli and Simonetti become fifth and sixth first-time scorers (1)
The next two players to get their first Roma goals were Elisa Bartoli and Flaminia Simonetti – who like Ciccotti grew up supporting the club.

Di Criscio matches six players (1), Bonfantini and Serturini reach next record (2)
The final player to match the ‘record’ of one before anyone had scored multiple times for the Giallorosse was Federica Di Criscio, but just over 10 minutes after she did that, Bonfantini became the first Roma Women player to score two goals for the club. Serturini also levelled that tally of two later in the same game.

Ciccotti matches two two-time scorers (2), Serturini pulls away (4)
Ciccotti got her second goal a couple of weeks later, but in that 7-1 win over Chievo, a brace by Serturini saw the Italian winger pull away with a new record, which she would keep adding to until her departure in January 2024, at which time she had 41 goals to her name for the club.

Giugliano and Giacinti catch Serturini (41)
Serturini enjoyed almost a full six years as Roma’s outright record scorer, until her tally was finally reached by two other players on the same day. In a Champions League play-off against Servette, midfielder Manuela Giugliano (who joined the club in 2019) scored her 41st goal for the club, before a brace by striker Valentina Giacinti (who had joined in 2022) enabled her to match that landmark as well, setting up a battle between the two teammates throughout the course of the 2024/25 season to become the record holder in their own right.

Giugliano breaks record (43)
The first player to surpass Serturini’s tally outright was Giugliano, when she scored a brace in a win over Napoli just three days after matching the record. Her 42nd and 43rd goals came in her 153rd appearance for the club, itself a tally just three shy of the all-time Roma Women record. It was a landmark day for another reason, being her 100th Serie A appearance for Roma. 29 of her record-breaking 43 goals up to that point have come in the league.
