Roma raise Belotti offer as striker warms to move – reports

Andrea Belotti has reportedly accepted Roma as a potential destination if he leaves Torino this summer, leaving it in the clubs’ hands to come to an agreement.

Belotti has been one of the main names mentioned in Roma’s striker hunt for this summer, and it seems he has become the top target.

With only one year left on his contract at Torino, he might be available for a transfer this summer. However, Roma’s first offer fell short of the selling club’s demands.

But according to Corriere Dello Sport, Roma have now gone back in with a new offer for the 27-year-old, worth €20m plus bonuses.

Torino have been holding out for around €10m more than that, but they will be under pressure given the lack of time left on his contract.

Furthermore, Tuttomercatoweb claim that Belotti has said yes to Roma on a personal level. There were murmurs of a contract until 2025 worth €3m per year from Corriere Dello Sport.

The agreement with Torino is still missing until their response to the latest offer becomes clear, though.

And Granata president Urbano Cairo has cast doubt on the whole situation, saying: “There has been no offer from Roma for Belotti.”

Only time will tell what the outcome of this transfer saga will be.
