Zan Celar sold to Swiss side Lugano after two loan spells away from Roma

Zan Celar has completed a permanent exit from Roma, joining Lugano in Switzerland two-and-a-half years after his only appearance.

Celar joined the club from Maribor in 2017, initially playing in the Primavera ranks. He made his first team debut as a substitute in the first game of Claudio Ranieri’s second spell in charge, in March 2019, but never added to it.

The striker has spent the past two seasons away on loan, at Cittadella and Cremonese respectively.

Now he is leaving Italy and will instead play in Switzerland, bidding farewell to Roma for good.
