Roma Women add experienced Elin Landstrom to squad after Inter spell

Elin Landstrom has become the second new signing of the summer for Roma Women, joining after a spell with Serie A Femminile rivals Inter.

The full-back has signed a contract for the 2022-23 season after spending the previous campaign in Milan.

Landstrom previously played in her native Sweden between 2010 and 2021, before embarking on her Italian adventure – which is now continuing in Rome.

She brings with her Champions League experience from her time with Umea over a decade ago and, more recently, Linkoping.

The 30-year-old told the club website: “I’m very happy to be representing Roma for the upcoming season.

“The club has high ambitions and that’s something I really wanted to be a part of.

“I am really excited for the possibility to play in the Champions League again and I’m looking forward to see what we can achieve together as a team this season!”

The left-back started 13 Serie A Femminile games for Inter last term, including both games against Roma.

Now, she will be lining up for the Giallorosse, providing competition for captain Elisa Bartoli and allowing further flexibility tactically.
