Roma have announced the signing of Leon Bailey on loan from Aston Villa with an option to buy the Jamaican winger in 2026.
Bailey, a quick left-footed right winger, has joined the club for his first taste of Serie A football after four years in the Premier League.
Previously linked with Roma way back in 2018, when Monchi was still the sporting director, an agreement was found with Villa’s president of football operations to take Bailey on loan for the 2025-26 season.
According to reports, Roma have paid €3m to take Bailey on loan and the option to buy will be worth €20m plus €2m in bonuses.
The first Jamaica international to play for Roma’s men’s team, after Allyson Swaby and Trudi Carter on the women’s team, Bailey will wear the number 31 shirt.
