Roma have completed the signing of Daniele Ghilardi from Hellas Verona.
A right-footed centre-back, Ghilardi is fresh from his first season in Serie A with Verona after loan spells in Serie C and Serie B respectively with Mantova and Sampdoria.
The 22-year-old is the first Italian centre-back Roma have signed since Gianluca Mancini in 2019, and coincidentally the first centre-back of any nationality they have bought from a different Serie A club since Marash Kumbulla, also from Verona in 2020.
Ghilardi has signed a contract until 2030 and will wear the number 87 shirt.
