Roma have sacked their second head coach this season after deciding time is up for Ivan Juric.
Juric only made it to 12 games in charge of Roma after replacing Daniele De Rossi, who himself was sacked just four games into the current season.
Lasting less than two full months in the role, Juric oversaw four wins, two draws and five defeats – the last being a 3-2 loss to Bologna at the Olimpico on Sunday. Roma’s (somewhat sheepish) communication of his sacking followed about half an hour after the full-time whistle, with it already widely known that he would be removed for his failure to win against Union SG on Thursday anyway.
He leaves Roma 12th in the Serie A table, on 13 points after 12 games and just four points above the relegation zone.
Roma are now on the hunt for a new manager; this is the first time since the notorious 2004-05 season (which culminated in them finishing three points above the relegation zone) in which they will have required the services of a third different head coach in a single campaign.
