Felix Afena-Gyan has signed a contract extension with Roma until 2026, the club announced on Wednesday.
Felix’s previous terms were due to expire in 2025, but the club have now extended his deal for a further year.
It would appear to rule out rumours that the Ghana international could be sold this summer, although suggestions of a loan away could continue.
The 19-year-old burst onto the scene last season, famously scoring a match-winning brace against Genoa in November. They remain the only two goals he has scored from his 22 appearances for the club so far.
“I am really pleased to have signed this contract,” Afena-Gyan told the club website. “Every since I arrived at this club my aim was to reach the first-team and since I did that my life has changed a lot.
“Now I need to just concentrate on continuing to improve. I am motived to start the new season in the best possible way.”

“Felix has vast room for improvement and has the opportunity to make the most of that potential under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, a coach who is pivotal to the development of our young players,” Pinto added.
“This contract extension also represents another demonstration of how the link between our first-team squad and our academy setup continues to get stronger.”
