Roma have announced the appointment of Ivan Juric as their new head coach after the decision to dismiss Daniele De Rossi.
De Rossi received his marching orders on Wednesday morning, prompting an immediate search for his successor. That has now resulted in the hiring of Juric on a contract until the end of the season, which could extend into next season if he achieves Champions League qualification.
The 49-year-old has spent his entire coaching career in Italy, most recently being in charge of Torino for three years. Before that, his former clubs included Hellas Verona, Genoa and Crotone.
Now at the biggest club of his career so far, Juric is tasked with reviving Roma’s fortunes after a four-game winless start to the season.
