Lorenzo Pellegrini pens contract for 10th full Roma season

The debate over Lorenzo Pellegrini’s future is over after the midfielder signed a new contract to ensure he’ll be playing for Roma this season.

Like Paulo Dybala, Pellegrini’s new contract is only valid for the upcoming 2026-27 season. It means the former captain will be playing for Roma for a 10th consecutive season after his return from Sassuolo in 2017.

In that time, Pellegrini has played almost 350 times for Roma.

At times, it seemed he was destined to leave, with club officials even going public last summer that their intentions were for him to move on.

But the 30-year-old fought for his place, scoring seven goals last season to take his overall tally for the club up to 62.

Now, he will link up with his teammates for another season.
