Late Lorenzo Pellegrini penalty rescues Roma in Udinese draw

Roma were well below standard but claimed a 1-1 draw against Udinese after a late penalty.

Struggling upon their return to domestic duties, Roma fell behind in the 15th minute when Nahuel Molina fired in from the edge of the box after a corner.

It rarely looked like Roma were going to create anything of note to undo the deficit. Fortunately, the opportunity came when a penalty decision went in their favour in stoppage time for an Udinese handball.

Lorenzo Pellegrini accurately and powerfully found the bottom corner from the penalty spot to salvage a draw and maintain an unbeaten run of six games.

They will need to lift their levels to get back to winning ways, though.
