Roma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante has confirmed he has tested positive for coronavirus.
On Tuesday, Roma confirmed that two members of their Primavera team had tested positive. Now, Mirante has become the first member of the senior team to do the same.
In a message posted on his Instagram profile, the 37-year-old announced: “Hello everyone, as some of you know, I have unfortunately tested positive for Covid-19.
“I want to let you know that I’m fine, I don’t have any symptoms such as a fever or a cough.
“I want to tell you that I’m in isolation and I hope to recover soon and to start training with my teammates as soon as possible.
“Thank you for all of the messages you are sending me. A hug to you all.”
Mirante played seven times for Roma last season.
Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery.
