Several people have both played for and managed Roma – but the one who had the most success in the latter role was Fabio Capello.
The last man to win Serie A as Roma manager, Capello spent five years in charge of the club. That spell saw him manage more consecutive games for the club (241) than anyone else has ever done.
Years before that, former midfielder Capello spent three seasons as a Roma player, between 1967 and 1970.
However, it is as a coach that he is best remembered. As well as managing Roma, Capello – who celebrates his birthday on 18th June – has also had spells in charge of the likes of Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus and England.
Happy 74th birthday to former #ASRoma coach (and before that, player) Fabio Capello! 🎉
