Roma have completed the signing of Ola Solbakken on a free transfer ahead of the January transfer window.
Solbakken originally caught Roma’s attention when starring for Bodo/Glimt in the game that shall not be mentioned from last season’s Europa Conference League.
Out of contract with the Norwegian side at the end of December, Roma have been able to wrap up his signing ahead of January without a transfer fee.
The forward will wear the number 18 shirt for Roma, who will tie him down to a contract until 2027.
Solbakken, 24, told asroma.com: “I have been pushing for this, I really wanted to be a Roma player – and finally I can say that I am.
“Roma stood out to me from the start – I really believe in the prospects and the plans for the club and I wanted to be a part of that.
“I am coming here to learn and improve but I also want to show what I am capable of. The Roma fans are the best I have come across and I cannot wait to be playing on their side.”
This will be Solbakken’s first experience of playing for a club outside his native Norway.
He will officially join the club on 2nd January, 2023.
