Roma Women confirmed the signing of Marija Banusic on a six-month deal on Monday.
The Swedish striker signs up until the end of the season and will wear the number nine shirt recently vacated by Maria Zecca.
Banusic most recently played for Montpellier in France, but has also had spells with the likes of Chelsea in England and Beijing BG Phoenix in China.
Clearly a well travelled player, she will now have her first taste of Italian football.
Banusic told asroma.com: “I chose Roma because of the history of the club. It was an easy choice for me.
“I want to have fun, I want to win and I want to become a better football player – both individually and as a team player.
“I am very excited to start with the team.”
