Roma sell Mirko Antonucci to Cittadella after series of loan spells

Mirko Antonucci has left Roma on a permanent basis to join Cittadella.

A product of the club’s academy, Antonucci made his senior debut in January 2018, marking the occasion with an assist.

The winger, small in stature, struggled for opportunities beyond that, concluding his debut season as a professional with just three appearances.

A series of loan spells followed, to Pescara, Vitoria Setubal and Salernitana. He helped the latter win promotion to Serie A last season, but they have not made the move permanent.

Instead, Antonucci will remain in Serie B with Cittadella. The transfer fee has not been disclosed.

Having also featured briefly in the Paulo Fonseca era in between some of his loans, Antonucci concludes his Roma career with seven appearances.
