Roma’s breakout star Emanuele Lulli has signed a new contract with the club until 2031.
Lulli has enjoyed a remarkable breakthrough into the Roma first team this season. He was yet to make his senior debut before the summer and was set to go out on loan to Avellino, but Gian Piero Gasperini has trusted him and been rewarded with some promising displays by the right-back.
Due to injuries to other players, Lulli began the season as Roma’s starter at right-back. His performances since have made it hard to take the shirt away from him.
Lulli recently scored his first goal in Serie A during Roma’s win over Genoa on his sixth appearance for the club.
While enjoying the teenager’s emergence, Roma also risked losing him in the new year due to his contract being due to expire in the summer.
However, they have now eased those fears and ensured Lulli will be able to continue his growth in the capital by renewing his deal until 2031.
