Carles Perez converts Celta Vigo loan into permanent Roma exit

Roma have confirmed that Carles Perez has left the club on a permanent basis in order to stay with Celta Vigo after spending last season on loan there.

The 25-year-old scored five goals from 38 games during his temporary spell with Celta and will now be remaining in Spain for good.

It brings an end to his Roma career, which began in January 2020 and ended with 76 appearances and eight goals.

This week, Perez placed seventh in Giallorossi Yorkshire’s ranking of every signing Gianluca Petrachi made at Roma.

Although undisclosed in the announcement of the transfer, the fee Roma have received for Perez is believed to be €5.2m.

Thus, Roma’s work at meeting financial targets by the end of the month is finally complete without the loss of any key first-team players.
