Roma have learned their Serie A fixtures for the 2022-23 season after the draw was made on Friday.
The season will begin on the weekend of August 13th with a trip to face Salernitana, before a first home game against newly promoted Cremonese the week after.
Roma’s first match against a fellow member of the seven sisters will be at the end of August, when they are away at Juventus.
It is the only major challenge of what appears to be a reasonable opening run, given that another promoted side, Monza, will visit after.
The first derby will be on the weekend of November 6th, when Roma will be the designated home team, before the second on the weekend of March 19th, just before an international break.
There is an extended break this season to accommodate for the winter World Cup. Roma’s last game before it, on the weekend of November 13th, will be against Torino at home.
They will return with a home match against Bologna in the midweek around January 4th.
The first half of the season concludes on the weekend of January 22nd, away at Spezia. Then, the second half of fixtures commences on the weekend of January 29th, away to Napoli.
The season will end with, coincidentally, another game against Spezia, this time at Stadio Olimpico.
Let’s hope Roma will have something to celebrate in terms of their league standing by then.
