Roma bring in Buba Sangare, 16, as first new summer signing

Roma have announced the signing of Buba Sangare from Levante in a permanent transfer believed to be worth €1.5m.

Sangare is a 16-year-old right-back who has already made three senior appearances for Levante, two of which were in the Spanish second division and one in the Copa del Rey. He will turn 17 in August.

After Roma converted Angelino’s loan into a permanent stay, Sangare is the club’s first new face through the doors this summer.

Sangare’s contract should last until 2027, by which time he will be 20 years old.

Presumably, he will be assigned a role in the Primavera to start with, although right-back is an area of uncertainty at first-team level for Roma.
