Roma Women v Juventus preview: Familiar foe visit for last home game of season

Roma Women play their final home game of the season on Sunday as they lock horns with Juventus once again.

Meeting for the fifth time this season, Roma and Juventus have endured differing fortunes against each other this term. The side from Turin will come to the capital as champions having dominated Serie A, but the Giallorosse have been one of the few teams to pick up results against them recently – most notably knocking them out of the Coppa Italia to reach the final.

Two league games remain before Roma can start thinking about that final, starting against Juventus. If they want to build any kind of momentum, they must get a result.

That will be no easy task, though, as Juventus have a 100% record in the league this term. Even though they have just wrapped up the title, they won’t be letting their standards slip.

But Roma have gone toe to toe with them in the Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia since the turn of the year, so will be hoping to avenge their 4-1 defeat from December’s reverse fixture.

Without a win in their last three games, Roma can confirm a fourth-placed finish with a win, keeping Fiorentina at arm’s length.

The lineup for the game is as follows: Baldi; Soffia, Swaby, Linari, Bartoli; Bernauer, Giugliano; Bonfantini, Thomas, Serturini; Lazaro.

The game kicks off at 11:30am UK time.
