Agent of Roma prospect Providence hoping for starlet to debut soon

The agent of Roma Primavera winger Ruben Providence expects his client to make his first-team debut soon.

Providence joined Roma’s academy ranks from PSG in 2019 but is yet to appear for the senior team. Nonetheless, the forward has potential and has trained with the first-team group.

One of several Primavera players to receive a new contract in November, Providence will be hoping to make the next step in his progress.

In an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, agent Federico Ferrari outlined his hope that Providence will soon get a vote of confidence from Paulo Fonseca.

“He sprained his ankle and will be out for a few days,” Ferrari said.

“Training with Serie A groups, for a match like the one against Ajax, means going fast.

“For me, Ruben has important qualities. He can become a Serie A player. Roma expected a lot of him, even when it seemed he wouldn’t adapt to Italian football and to the Primavera, despite coming from PSG.

“Fonseca doesn’t give gifts to anybody. If he calls you up there is a reason: he thinks you are of the right level. We are awaiting with more and more intensity his debut.”
