Tiago Pinto has confirmed that Matias Viña will be the man to replace Leonardo Spinazzola at Roma.
Several left-backs have been linked with the club since Spinazzola’s serious injury and Viña’s name has appeared in increasing frequency in recent days.
General manager Pinto has now been caught on camera admitting that Viña will join the club.
In good spirits while speaking to a group of fans from his car, Pinto said: “Viña is arriving.”
He was also asked about the pursuit of Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, which seems to have taken a step forward after the Gunners signed Albert Sambi Lokonga as a replacement.
However, Pinto said: “We’ll see, one at a time.”
He was unmoved, though, when some of the fans asked him to sign Mauro Icardi.
