Danish striker Amalie Thestrup has become Roma Women’s third new signing of the summer.
Thestrup, 24, arrives from Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold in her home country, for whom she was the top scorer last season with an impressive 17 goals in 24 games. In the season before, she scored 15 times.
She has also previously played for Brondby, where she won two league titles.
Thestrup’s arrival accommodates for the departure of Martina Piemonte, who joined Real Betis on Monday.
Via the club’s Twitter page, Thestrup said: “I can’t wait to move to [this] beautiful city and start the new season with AS Roma.”
Extremely proud to announce that I will be joining @ASRomaWomen next season. ⚽️□ I cannot wait to start this new chapter!— Amalie Thestrup (@amaliethestrup) July 16, 2019
