Roma Women have strengthened their squad for the second half of the season with the signing of Emilie Haavi.
An attacking midfielder, Haavi arrives from LSK Kvinner in her native Norway. At 29 years of age and with 90 international caps, she has plenty of experience.
Haavi will wear the number 11 shirt for Roma and has signed a contract until June 2023.
“Roma is a big club with a proud tradition,” Haavi said on the club website.
“The club has high ambitions and I felt that I wanted to be a part of that.”
She has previously played in the USA with Boston Breakers, but her time there was brief. The majority of her career has been spent in Norway, but now she is ready for a new challenge in Serie A.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome a player like Emilie to this club,” added Head of Women’s Football, Betty Bavagnoli.
“We signed her not just for her vast experience but also for her ability to unite both quality and versatility – she is a player who is able to play in various positions at the highest level.
“She is joining at the right time to reinforce our squad and to help us continue to push on in a season where the competition will only get fiercer from here on.”
