Roma Women record scorer and leading appearance maker Annamaria Serturini has signed a three-year contract extension with the club.
Serturini has been with the Giallorosse since their formation and has led the way since the beginning. Scorer of their first ever goal in women’s football, she has made 75 appearances and scored 30 goals – both tallies greater than anyone else.
The left winger was also one of the scorers in the penalty shootout of the Coppa Italia final, which Roma won in May to claim their first piece of silverware.
A 12-time Italy international, the 23-year-old will now double the length of her stay in the capital.
“I am proud to be able to continue to represent this club,” Serturini told the club website.
“After our victory in the Coppa Italia I really understand what it means to win something special with Roma – and I want to continue to make history with this club.
“I don’t think it’s right to only say thank you when you win or when you leave: every day I am thankful to be able to play for Roma.”
