Roma Women have completed the signing of attacker Andressa Alves, who arrives after a spell at Barcelona.
Andressa is a vastly experienced Brazil international, making 84 appearances for the national side in total – the most recent coming at this summer’s Women’s World Cup.
The 26-year-old, who is left-footed, can play anywhere across the attacking line, and becomes the first Brazilian to ever play for the women’s side.
She spent the last three years at Barcelona, where she finished as the top scorer in the 2017-18 season.
Andressa is certainly an exciting acquisition as the squad begins to take shape, following the arrival of versatility player Kaja Erzen earlier today. They could soon be followed by Italy international Manuela Giugliano, who has confirmed she is leaving Milan.
Benvenuta, Andressa.
