The transfer market is becoming full of twists and turns for Roma.

Just as it appeared the club were close to signing Mattia De Sciglio from Juventus, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Rick Karsdorp now wants to stay in the capital.

The Dutchman has been linked with Genoa, but after returning in pre-season, could now fight for his place with Bruno Peres on the right flank.

That would eradicate the need to sign De Sciglio, meaning that deal has stalled.

It appears Arkadiusz Milik still needs some more convincing about the chance to join Roma.

There is an agreement with Napoli to sign the striker if Edin Dzeko leaves for Juventus. However, personal terms with the Pole must still be agreed.

According to Matteo De Santis of La Stampa, there is now a meeting underway between Milik, his father and his agent.

They are seeking to make a final decision on where he will play next season.

According to Matteo De Santis of La Stampa, Cengiz Under is a step away from leaving Roma.

The winger is set to join Leicester City in the Premier League for a €3m loan with a €25m obligation to buy.

Under only made 10 starts in Serie A last season due to injuries, the form of Nicolo Zaniolo, and Roma’s formation change towards the end of the season.

Now, he is ready to leave the club, despite only signing a contract extension last summer.

After taking him on loan for the season, Roma will pay around €10m next summer for the right-back, whose arrival will allow Rick Karsdorp to leave for Genoa.

The injury to Nicolo Zaniolo has forced Roma to consider how they will fill the gap until he returns in 2021. While the arrival of Pedro may have reduced the need for a new signing, the club continue to be linked with reinforcements.

According to Tele Radio Stereo, Roma have now made contact with the entourage of Rodrigo De Paul. The Udinese winger wants to join Leeds United before the transfer window closes, but the two clubs are still negotiating.

It could give the Giallorossi an opportunity to swoop in ahead of the Yorkshire team, but Leeds remain the favourites.

It’s been the biggest transfer story of the summer for Roma, and now it’s close to completion. Arkadiusz Milik is set to arrive from Napoli, in turn pushing Edin Dzeko to Juventus.

According to Il Tempo, Roma have agreed a package worth €25m for Milik. They will pay €3m to take him on loan, €15m for his permanent signing, and a further €7m in bonuses.

Milik’s arrival will signal the departure of captain Dzeko after five years at the club. Juventus are closing in on the Bosnian, with whom they already have an agreement on personal terms.

Now, the Serie A champions must meet Roma’s asking price, which Corriere Dello Sport claim is €15m. There were suggestions from Nicolo Schira, Calciomercato.it and LaRoma24 yesterday that Juventus may offer Mattia De Sciglio as a counterpart to reduce the fee.

This one escalated quickly. News of Roma’s interest in Verona defender Marash Kumbulla was fresh this week, but it already appears the two clubs have found an agreement.

According to the ever reliable Il Tempo, and as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sport Italia, Roma have agreed to sign Kumbulla on loan with an obligation to buy in a deal that could reach €30m.

The defender is seen as an alternative to Chris Smalling, with Manchester United rejecting the latest offer from Roma.

However, Rete Sport‘s Checco Oddo Casano claims Smalling could still arrive in addition to Kumbulla. Federico Fazio and Juan Jesus must leave first, with Roma then ready to renegotiate the structure of the payment with Man Utd.
