Roma have thanked Juan Jesus for his service ahead of his release from his contract.
Jesus joined Roma from Inter in 2016 but struggled to nail down a regular place in the lineup. He only managed 102 appearances for the club across five seasons, contributing one goal.
His most memorable appearance was undoubtedly in the 3-0 win over Barcelona in the 2017-18 Champions League quarter-final, when he marked none other than Lionel Messi out of the game.
Sadly, he couldn’t match those performances levels on a regular basis, and Roma were unable to find a buyer for him while he was still under contract.
As of July, though, the 29-year-old will no longer be a Roma player. It is not yet clear where he might move, but his time with the Giallorossi is over.
Here’s how the club paid tribute to him via social media.
