Roma have confirmed that goalkeeper Pau Lopez has left the club to join Marseille on an initial loan deal.
The French club recently announced they had been given permission to speak to Lopez, who is now officially their player.
Lopez moves to Marseille on loan for an initial fee of €720,000 plus up to €500,000 in bonuses. The transfer will become permanent, depending on certain conditions, for a fee of €12m.
Thus, Roma could receive a total of €13.2m for the Spaniard, who was their most expensive ever goalkeeper when he joined two years ago.
He struggled for consistency in 76 appearances across that pair of seasons, so will now hope to revive his career at Marseille, where he will team up with fellow ex-Roma players Cengiz Under and Gerson.
Roma have already secured his replacement after signing Rui Patricio from Wolves in the week.
Good luck, Pau.
