Roma goalkeeper Daniel Fuzato has completed his move to Gil Vicente on loan.
Fuzato joined Roma in 2018, becoming the third-choice keeper. He kept that role for two years, finally making his senior debut at the age of 23 when Roma beat Juventus on the last day of the most recent Serie A season.
The Brazilian goalkeeper will spend the upcoming season in the Portuguese top flight.
Upon completing his temporary departure – although Gil Vicente can make his signing permanent for €3m, with Roma retaining a buyback option – Fuzato reflected upon his time in Serie A.
“Coming to Roma was a dream come true,” he said. “When I learned of the interest of such an important club, it was like a birthday present, which was really in that week of July.
“The school of goalkeeping in Italy is of a very high level. With Roma, they were two years in which I learned a lot, and my performance on the pitch improved.”
